Randy is a graduate from United Theological Seminary and also a doctoral mentor at United, where I teach Evangelization. We have been blessed to work with Randy, who demonstrates an approach to divine healing and deliverance that seeks the best in theory and practice. His book "The Biblical Guidebook to Deliverance" models such an approach. Well-written and researched, this work begins to fill the void among Spirit-filled believers for sound scholarship in the supernatural and among scholars and academics for a faith-filled approach that does not explain away Scripture or the work of the Holy Spirit. I appreciate Randy's balanced ministry, faithful friendship, and humble character as he continues to be a major agent of the Spirit in global renewal.
Well written and an excellent historical perspective on deliverance.I believe this book is biblically sound and has the real voice of experience behind it. Since moving to Africa from the States eight years ago, I have had the opportunity to pray for people to receive their deliverance. When those opportunities come, I have used Randy's approach. It is loving, respectful, and effective.I only wish he gave more details and examples in the section on "Casting Out the Evil Spirit". I understand every situation is different, but it is good to have more direction in this section for people who are just getting started.
Randy Clark does a great job of looking at the history and misconceptions in deliverance, but the book is very small and easy to read. He also walks you through his deliverance model. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn deliverance!
This book is more for people who have not had much experience in this area. If you were raised in a traditional church this would be very helpful for you to understand the subject matter. If you have been in pentecostal circles for some time it revisits a lot of what you probably already have learned. Very well written and easy to understand.
Great reading style. So often in this genre you're left shaking your head at not content but the way it's presented, but not this book. It's very enjoyable, broken into easily digested sections.
Best book on deliverance for today I have read. Dr. Clark goes into detail the who, what, where, when and how of deliverance not only in third world countries but Western Countries as well. It is well reasoned with Bible explanations, and personal experiences. One of his best I think. I own most of them.
Excellent resource. Biblically based and full of wisdom on this important and delicate area of Christian ministry. This book is easy to understand but full of depth, as well. I highly recommend this book.
Awesome book. Randy Clark is super easy to read and understand and rich in knowledge. He brings a lot of wisdom and teaching on the subject of deliverence.
